Mike is getting ready to start digging the pit for the septic tank.

Mike compacting the pad with the backhoe. It has been about 2 months of work getting this pad built, but it should really be a hard-packed, settled pad and have absolutely minimal cracking in the future...we hope! We'll keep posting pictures of progress. Man was it cold out there!!!

Mike and I have the septic system installed and are preparing to start digging the footers for the foundation.

Taking out some native elms to make a nice, mowed, picnic area. Note steel peg locating southeast corner of building.

Pad is ready for tying all the steel re-bar for the pad. Part of the steel, about 3,000 lbs., is lying on the trailer. We'll be out there working on Monday, the 19th, so if you don't get us on the phone, leave a message or call back later! Thanks for your patience! It is going to be such a beautiful setting for our new beginning.
We've got the frame up, electric meter in and and ready to start putting up insulation and steel siding.
The south wall with iron on and door frame to main entrance.
North wall with all the sheet iron on and part of the roof on, too.
