This short, 30 inch barrel, version of the Wilson is truly a handy, well balanced, little gun. We estimate it's weight at no more than 6 lbs. with the 20 gauge barrel. I'm sure with a rear sight and jug choking, this little gun will do anything a longer barreled gun will do and with less weight.

Left side showing the fine low comb stock architecture. When a firearm recoils, it requires a low comb line that is virtually parallel with the bore. That way you don't have to push your cheek bone into the comb to look over the breech and get kicked in that very tender area.

Close-up of lock area and nicely contoured French stock architecture. Note delicate, forged-style trigger guard and sling button. Since this was an in-the-white firearm, I was able to photograph it on my bear skin rug and not spend 2 hours setting up and breaking down my lighting equipment. This was the 400 pound bear that I took in 2002 with the Crockett Rifle.

Left side showing typical serpent side plate and two bolt lock fastening.

Top view to show the comb line and very slim forward profile. Note the beaver tail style tang carving around the breech plug tang, standard on all Wilson firearms. This gun has a choice of either iron or brass butt plate, plus the 6 barrel interchangeable system. Just imagine this with a.54 or .58 caliber rifled barrel, what a powerhouse!
