French Type "D" with curly English walnut stock. You can see the beautiful stock architecture with the low comb line running parallel with the bore. This makes for a very comfortable shooting gun and NO cheek smashing, even with heavy loads. She comes to the shoulder and you're looking right over the breech with out having to move your head or eye around.
Left view of butt area showing graceful writs and trigger guard.. With the bit of glare coming off the finish, you can't quite see the degree of curl in the wood that's actually there.

Close up showing engraving and inletting of side plate. The classic boar /hounds chase scene is quite pleasing along with the nick and dot border.
The French Type "D" has a nice "mask" thumbpiece and the finial on butt plate matches the trigger guard finial exactly.
