All guns listed above are without locks. See below for details.

Above guns available in right-hand only.  The barrels are 41-inch octagon-to-round swamped.  THE LONG-GUNS USE AN INTERCHANGEABLE BARREL SYSTEM, with the following choices available:  20, 24, or 28 gauge smoothbore and .50, .54, or .58 rifled. NOTE;  The French pistol is available in 20, 24, 28 ga. smoothbore and .45 rifled for competition and hunting. The pistol is not available in basic kit form because of the difficulty in assembling, contouring and finishing this delicate piece.   We do offer the pistol in a semi finished kit!

Rifling twist rate - 1 in 54 inches. Pistol; .45 caliber rifling twist rate is 1 in 22 inches.

LOCKS; All gun prices include locks.  The complete line of guns are designed for use with the complete line of locks currently being produced by Caywood Gunmakers Inc.. They come with a limited lifetime warranty, and are built to flawlessly withstand thousands of shots.  

Both kits feature 98% inletted stock.  Barrel, lock and entry thimble are 100% inletted. The touch hole is drilled and coned. Pre-drilled holes in stock for tang bolt, cross bolts, barrel tenons and ramrod thimbles.  Barrel tenons are installed and slotted, front sight installed.  Lock bolt holes are tapped, the trigger plate is drilled and tapped.  Touch-hole is drilled and coned.  Wood is slightly figured maple for the French Type "D" and nicely figured maple for the French Type "C".  Prices listed are for smoothbore barrels.  Wood upgrades are available, call for details.  Safety-use manual, blueing, stain and assembly instructions included.

BASIC; kit will retain some cutter marks.

SEMI-FINISHED; kit has the following additional work done:  all cutter marks removed, lock panels shaped, comb-line shaped, wrist shaped, tang area to barrel channel shaped.  Trigger guard and trigger holes drilled.  

ASSEMBLED; guns come fully assembled with ramrod fitted and could be shot right out of the box after customer places lock of their choice in inlet. Includes; stain, blueing solution and finishing instructions.
