12 ga./.62 Caliber English Fowler

The stock architecture on the English fowler is extremely user friendly. Note the low comb line which is almost parallel to the bore and allows the shooter to look over the breech without pushing the cheekbone down hard onto the comb. This is CRTICAL because of  the large powder and shot charges used in 12 bore guns. When the firearm recoils, the comb simply slides back under the cheek bone and transfers the felt recoil to the shoulder. You can shoot this 5 lb. firearm all day and not have a sore cheek afterwards! And of course you will break more clay birds and ground more turkeys when you relax and follow through on your shots.

The 12 gauge English fowler features a standing oval on the breech plug tang which was very typical on this style of fowlers. This is a double taper round barrel to give strength and incredible lightness to the firearm. The 12 gauge weighs just a little over 5 lbs.. With a large, flat, water resistant pan, this is one of the finest locks ever designed for moving targets and is virtually unsurpassed in performance and reliability.
